A timetable that runs itself.

Members book in three taps and see who else is in. Waitlists promote automatically the moment a spot opens — with an honest queue position, not a guess.

The case

Why gyms run this on Temple.

01

Why it matters

Booking is the one thing every member does every week. When waitlists promote themselves and quick-book surfaces the right class, your front desk stops fielding “can you squeeze me in?” texts and members book in three taps.

02

Why Temple, not the others

Most platforms bolt booking onto a payments tool — rigid windows, dumb waitlists, a shrunken desktop grid on a phone. Temple’s calendar is built for the way CrossFit and Hyrox gyms actually run their week.

03

Why it compounds

Every booking teaches Temple what each member trains, so quick-book gets sharper over time — and it reads the same member database your billing, tracking and marketing already run on.

In depth

Everything in the box.

01

A calendar built for real gyms

  • Day, week and month views, colour-coded by class type, with coach avatars and live remaining-spots counts
  • On a phone, members get an agenda list with filter pills — not a shrunken desktop grid
  • Class types hold multiple schedules: weekdays at 06:00 and Saturday at 10:00 can live under one type
  • Multi-room gyms can set a location per class
02

Waitlists that behave

  • Automatic promotion the moment a spot opens — even inside the booking cutoff, a late drop-out still promotes the next member
  • Members see their honest queue position, not a guess
  • Cancelling a session refunds every booking in full and clears the waitlist properly
03

Quick-book that knows your members

  • Temple ranks upcoming sessions by what each member actually trains: class-type affinity, usual time of day, usual weekday
  • The top pick is marked with a sparkle on the calendar and the class detail — one tap to book
  • Recommendations respect plan coverage, credit balance and paid periods, so it never suggests a class the member can’t book
04

Your booking rules, enforced for you

  • Booking windows: how far ahead booking opens, when it closes, and the free-cancel cutoff — each entered in minutes, hours, days or weeks
  • “Cancel by 9pm the night before” is a first-class mode, computed in your gym’s timezone
  • Every window can be overridden per class type — open-gym slots with no cutoff can coexist with strictly-coached classes
  • Credit refunds follow the plan: unlimited plans lose nothing, credit packs get the credit back inside the window
05

Families and dependents

  • Parents add login-less child accounts, complete waivers and screening on their behalf, and book them into classes
  • Staff rosters show a Child badge and a children filter
  • Off by default — you decide whether your gym takes minors
